Norman's blog: “Science at the Polls
Norman Apsley, NISP Chief Executive

Science is not up front in any election manifesto that I know of but each expects science and the methods of science to be a key ingredient of a successful society both economical and socially. Despite this longed for impact, there won’t be many scientists in the mix, whoever wins. Recently New Scientist reported the large numbers of science trained and science advocates who would be leaving Westminster, not all for the best of reasons mind you. NS opined that it might be an up-hill task to get the new incumbents of whatever hue up to speed and it might herald the end of what has been a good 13 years of increased science funding.
