The Shore Wins Oscar for Best Short


The Shore cracker little movie based on a true story and filmed in Clough Co Down has won 2012  best short film Oscar . 'The Shore stars' Ciaran Hinds (Caesar in ROME) and tells the story of a 'bromance' that was doomed by the troubles, and after 25 years a piognant reconcilliation takes place on The Shore in clough co down. The Shore was produced by Oorlagh George and written and directed by Terry George.
The Films funders were Lough Shore Investments, the film was produced in association with Northern Ireland Screen and Tourism Ireland. It was shot entirely on location in Coney Island, Co Down.

It was shot in Killough, not Clough which is 10 miles away, in County Down.
